Hot Air Ballooning Cairns and Green Island Great Barrier Reef Tour
Enjoy a spectacular hot air balloon ride with transfers from selected Cairns accommodation. Upon landing, enjoy a celebratory glass of bubbly or juice. After ballooning, we’ll transfer you to the Reef Fleet terminal to connect with your high speed ferry transfers to Green Island. explore the Great Barrier Reef corals, fish and turtles and relax on the beach. Choose from either Snorkelling equipment or glass bottom boat. Lunch at your own arrangements. Watersports are available if you want to try kayaking or parasailing. Take a stroll around Green Island and relax on the idyllic sandy beach.
Great Adventures Catamaran departs promptly from Green Island. We recommend you be at the Jetty at least 10 minutes prior.
Your Itinerary
04.30 – 5.00am (approx)
You will be met by your hot air balloon tour drive for a one hour transfer. Times are approximate, so be sure to check your booking for confirmation of pickup times.
05.30am
Imagine flying in an amazing hot air balloon over the Australian landscape. You will see the light of a new day and experience a unique sensation of being up high on board our beautiful balloons.
07.30am
Keep an eye out for wallabies, kangaroos and other local wildlife. If you’re lucky, they won’t even know you’re above them!
08.00am
Return to Earth as you land. Join in the optional balloon pack-up for a close up experience of your aircraft, and enjoy lots of laughs.
9.30am
After hot air ballooning, your coach transfer takes you to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, please look for the Great Adventures check-in counter. Boarding is at 10.10am.
10.30am
Depart Reef Fleet Terminal for the 45 minute journey to Green Island.
11.15am
Arrive at the tropical Green Island and enjoy the options available to you. Stroll along the walkways on the island, explore the corals, fish and turtles of the Great Barrier Reef and relax on the beach. There’s snorkelling equipment for hire, and a glass bottom boat for viewing the reef in style. Lunch at your own arrangements. Watersports are available if you want to try like kayaking or parasailing.
4.30pm
Great Adventures Catamaran departure is promptly at 4.30pm from Green Island so make sure you’re at the jetty in plenty of time. Bring a sun hat for the wait as there is limited shade on the jetty itself!
5.15pm
Return back to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. You will need to make your own way back to your accommodation or coach transfer back to your Cairns accommodation for $14 per adult, $9 per child.
