Pre Dawn Pickup
Pick-up times vary and will be confirmed on booking. Your pickup can be from all Cairns accommodation & hotels. Hot Air Ballooning Cairns will personally pick you up in our airconditioned coaches. Your transfer to the launch site is approximately one hour.

Our flights take off around the township of Mareeba, on the Atherton Tablelands at dawn. With Australia’s largest fleet of hot air balloons and fun crew professionally trained in ballooning operations, you’ll be sure to enjoy your morning! Experience the wonder of floating over the open landscape of the Tablelands and breathe in the fresh Queensland air as your aircraft is expertly guided by your experienced Hot Air Ballooning Cairns pilot.

Your tour finish time will vary based on the season. Approximate return times are between 9.30am-10am, depending on what time official first light is. Hot Air Ballooning Cairns can drop you back to your Cairns accommodation or with prior notice, connect with continuing itineraries. Common package tours have us regularly connecting with Great Barrier Reef cruises departing from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Skyrail and Kuranda Scenic Rail tours from Caravonica and Kuranda Stations, and Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, also at Caravonica. We are also happy to arrrange drop offs to Cairns cafes or restaurants if you would like to have breakfast at your own arrangements (please mention this to your driver at pickup).
